Abu Dhabi is the Capital of UAE (United Arab Emirates) and the largest among the seven emirates. It is also in many ways a living museum of the Emirati heritage and culture.
We traveled by car from Dubai and it took about an hour and a half going to Abu Dhabi. Thanks to my friend, Meton for driving us back and forth.
We stayed at The Royal Rose Hotel for one night. Here is our Abu Dhabi activity:
Day 1
Early Check-in at Royal Rose Hotel
Proceed at Ferrari World
Dinner at Lebanese Flower Restaurant
Chill time at the bar inside Etihad Towers
Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel
Hotel Check-out
Grand Mosque
Stroll around then back to Dubai
Ferrari World
Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi is the first Ferrari brand theme park.
We alot one day here so that we can maximize our passes. We took all the rides that we can during our visit.
Finally ticking-off my bucket list to be able to ride the Formula Rossa which is the world’s fastest roller coaster with a top speed of 250kmph in 4.9 seconds. Indeed one for the books!
I Survived the fastest roller-coaster in the world!

The room is nice and good for the three of us. I have few pictures since we only sleep and eat here. Haha!
I have pictures of our mirror shots and our buffet breakfast.
Shot before going out for dinner.
Shot before going down for breakfast.
Lastly, before eating breakfast! haha!
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
The Grand Mosque is one of the must see landmarks in Abu Dhabi. Definitely, it's on my list and first timer's like me should not miss to visit.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is Abu Dhabi’s crown jewel and the most popular tourist attraction. Also, it’s the largest mosque in the country and one of the world's largest mosque.
The mosque is most beautiful to visit at sunset and we missed it. Due to our limited schedule, we have to go there in the morning because we need to go back in Dubai in the afternoon.
If you want to catch the 5:00 PM cultural tour, it is being offered most of the days. Make sure to check their website for the updated schedules.
Visiting the mosque and going on the tour is free of charge. You don’t need an appointment in advance. The cultural tour lasts for about forty-five (45) minutes. During the tour you could learn more about Islamic art and culture.
Don’t worry about your outfit during your mosque visit. An appropriate attire will be available to use and borrow before entering the mosque. There are changing rooms there.
Since you are in the UAE, make sure to properly dressed as well to show sign of respect in their culture. Avoid short shorts or short skirts, cover your shoulders and don't wear revealing tops.
Also, if I am not mistaken, the mosque is closed during Fridays for tourists. Make sure to check it out to be sure when planning your trip.
I visited my relatives in Sharjah on the following days, you may check out my Day Trip in Sharjah from Dubai if you wish to visit this emirate as well.
