Kaparkan Spring Terraces in Abra, Philippines is one of my bucket-list and finally I was able to tick it off. 😁
The major highlight of our trip is to be able to see the Kaparkan Spring Terraces and Kaparkan Falls. But, you have to travel for around four hours via a Monster Jeep (one way) then a few minutes trek to see its beauty.
There is a waiver and you have to sign before you ride the monster jeep. It requires reservation also so make sure that you do that before planning to go to Abra. Fare is Php 850.00 if I remember it correctly.
Joiners can opt to do a top-load ride or inside the jeep. I chose to ride inside because there is a sign of incoming rain and for sure it will be very cold on top. haha
Don't be alarmed when the monster jeep stopped and asked you all to standby because they will put chains into the wheels. They said that it is needed so that the wheels will be intact and the chains will help the wheels especially in the muddy area.
Kaparkan Spring Terraces and Kaparkan Falls
This is the area if you go down. You would be able to see the Kaparkan Falls. For me it's a little hard because the way is going down and the tendency to slip is very high. So always be mindful and take a little distance is there is someone in front of your.
Well, I don't regret having minimal scratches though is this is the reward. Haha
New place, new friends... Indeed such a great adventure. Also, I am so proud of my elder sister for being able to go with me. I know, she enjoyed it a lot!
Sharing a few minutes video clip of our experience.
